EMBER: Resort 2025
EMBER Process
The challenge for this project was to develop a 2025 Resort collection and create two finished garments from the collection. I was inspired by the architecture and colors of Marrakesh, Morocco. The pleat details at the sleeves and skirt seams came from some of the ornate lampshades I saw in my research. The lightweight silk fabric keeps the wearer cool in the hot climate of Marrakesh.
FINAL GARMENTS
After designing the collection, I constructed two of the garments- the Sarah Skirt and Unlined Jacket. The main features of these garments are the pleat inserts at the gore-seams of the skirt and sleeve seams of the jacket.
